Difference between Pink Gold and Other Colored Gold

Pink gold is a kind of colored gold. The colored gold is the gold whose color has been changed by adding other metals to pure gold. Pure gold has the characteristic of being easily scratched, so mixing with other metals, such as silver (Ag), copper (Cu), and palladium (Pd), increases its hardness and wear resistance in addition to the advantage of changing its color.

Mostly, the color of the gold changes depending on the ratio of silver and copper.
When silver is added more, the gold looks whitish. Green gold is created by adding silver mostly to gold.
On the other hand, copper is added more, the gold looks close to red gold.

Platinum (Pt)
Platinum (Pt) creates a blueish grey look. Its grey coloration is between white gold and silver.

Silver (SV)
Silver (SV) is the whitest and brightest out of all the metal.

White gold (WG)
White gold (WG) is a deep grey color.

Green gold (GG)
Green gold (GG) resembles fireflies. It is a fresh lemony color.

Yellow gold (YG)
Yellow gold (YG) is usually this color in general. It holds a warm yellowish appearance.

Pink gold (PG)
Pink gold (PG) is a warm color resembling a cherry blossom. It blends well on skin.

We use 18K gold, platinum 900, and silver 925
because we consider the “durability” of wedding rings and engagement rings.

Each alloy contains the following metals:

Platinum 900: Platinum and palladium
18K white gold: Gold, silver, and palladium

18K pink gold: Gold, silver, and copper
18K yellow gold: Gold, silver, and copper
18K green gold: Gold, silver, and copper
Silver 925: Silver and copper

Order Examples of Wedding Rings Using Pink Gold in the Color Combination

Wood grain patterns of Mokumegane are created by layering and joining various colored metals; called “production of laminated material.” It is easy to use pure gold and pure platinum for this production process, but they are very easy to be scratched.

Our highly skilled technique and various research results enable us to make our wedding rings by using 18K gold and platinum 900 which are not suitable for the lamination.

We would like to introduce you our recommended combinations of Mokumegane using pink gold. Depending on which materials you choose for your Mokumegane, the appearance of the wood grain pattern will vary. Please find your favorite combinations.

Materials of Liners

You can choose the materials for your liner from the following.

Platinum (Pt)

Because its specific gravity is heavier than gold and silver, it has a moist and comfortable texture. The liners are less likely to be damaged, so you can enjoy the eternal shine. It is popular for both males and females.

★Pink gold (PG)

The warm colored gold will show the color of your hand well. If the liners are bright pink gold, you can enjoy the color even when you take off your ring. It is especially popular for females.

Yellow gold (YG)

Because it has a gorgeous color just like the gold image, it will be a brightly colored ring when taken off. Recommended for those who like gold.

White gold (WG)

It has a calm tone, so it will look great on you even after years. Recommended for those who like calm colors.
