Hello! We’re Mr.E and Ms.S :)
We’re from Singapore and now based in New York, and we met in graduate school in 2016 in California.
We’ve been together for 9 years and it’s special to us that we’ll be getting married on our 10th year “anniversary” in Provence, France.
We love food and sports. While travelling, I proposed in Patagonia,
when we reached the summit of the Laguna de los Tres - a 24km hike with ~3000 feet elevation gain!
We read up about Mokumegane online as we were looking for something unique and with an organic feeling.
Ms.S studied Japanese history and the language; she has an aunt in Chiba,
so Japan has a special place in her heart and we thought it would be unique to get a ring crafted in a place we both love.
We chanced upon the store in Ginza on our last day in Tokyo and made the order 5 hours before our flight back to New York - very ギリギリ！
Fun fact: We thought Mokumegane sounded similar to how the Rings of Power were forged in The Lord of the Rings (we are fans); you are our Celebrimbor!
