late Meiji period. He was an apprentice of Masayuki Yoshida, the professor
of the department of hammering at Tokyo University of the Arts.
“Obidome” is women’s accessory worn around the Obi. Spotted pattern of 
Mokume Gane which appeared very softly, is adding reality to the Koi fish.
